What a marvelous week I have had! The snow is gone, the sun is shining. The birds are flitting around just asking me to catch one of them and eat them.
The days that the sun is not out and the rain is falling are perfect for relaxing on my bed contemplating the finer skills needed to catch squirrels.
Life is good! I have to say that there is absolutely nothing that can compare with a romp through the open fields on a golden sunny day.
I have done more cat napping in the sunshine this week than I care to admit. These cool crisp nights just beg me to be out exploring this great big world that we live in.
We have been doing a lot of practising this week at the Watering Hole. We have started learning a new number “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.” This one is a real favorite of mine. A really catchy tune, know what I mean? I was hearing it played in the house for a couple of weeks and it just got stuck in my head. When I heard the band was learning that number I couldn’t believe my luck. Now I can play along when I hear those sweet tunes floating out the window.
I have a lot planned for the next week. I hope to get in a few moonlight howls. I also want to get out to the Watering Hole to meet some of the newcomers to the area. This time of year always sees some new faces around the table. I also hope to catch another squirrel or two. The one I caught last week just wet my appetite. I do apologise for leaving the paws and tail in the garage on the floor. I totally meant to clean them up. I will do better next time.
I have to say it is just lovely to see you guys out and about more. I have thoroughly enjoyed the extra petting that comes my way as you pass me by in the garage or as I sidle up beside you on the porch. Keep it coming! Nothing warms my heart more!
Until next time…. “Glory, Glory, Hallelujah! Glory, glory, Hallelujah…..”
