Top of the hour to all of you!  I cannot tell you just how hoppy and happy I am that things are warming up outside!  It has been nothing short of a long and dismal winter.  With my health not what it could have been I have been feeling just how miserable these cold temperatures really were.  If it hadn’t been for the frequent visits by old King Cole, I don’t know how I would have made it through.  The large amount of cat food he devoured while over for a social call was a little excessive but that is the price of friendship these days.

I was down at the Watering Hole last night and I have to tell you, things are all a-buzz with the gang down there.  They are all so excited to think about what things will be like when the sun warms things up!  News was that it was the first day of spring!  Now I do find that hard to believe but apparently the humans pick a day of the calendar and decide that that is when spring will start.  Now, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that spring doesn’t just start on a specific day.  Now, Ruby Robin has been in town for at least a week.  I have heard that some of her cousins didn’t even leave!  Anyways, it isn’t officially spring until Ken Killdeer is back at the Hole.  Old King Cole said he heard him the other morning.  All I know is, the geese are back in town again.  Hard to hear anything above the racket they make.

Speaking of racket, they are looking for a new drummer at the Watering Hole.  They have a bit of a local band that plays every Friday night.  I think I might go out to the audition …. I have some drumming talent.  I will need to brush up on my skills a little, so if you hear loud thumping music in the night, just roll over.  It’ll be me, making music!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some serious spraying to do.  Time to mark me some territory.  I heard the O-ster say he saw a mouse skirting through the garage.  I better take care of that right away.
